As we continue our tour, you will learn about the old Rogers Hotel and the James Tavern owned by an ancestor of the infamous Jessie James, who perhaps still visits this once bustling Village of Blount. You'll also discover how a devistating flood changed the town forever, but how Blountville's 'people of the past' are still coming and going there still today...
In addition, everyone is invited to come and visit the newly restored "Deery Inn", which is thought to be very haunted, before we engage in the lantern-lit tour of the town. The Deery opened it's doors to the public for the first time in Summer 2007 and is one of the featured stops along our tour route.
